PREDICT:

I predict that this problem will be about working backwards.

READ:

I think of a number, multiply it by 4 and then divide by 3. If the result is 12, what was the original number?

CLARIFY:

I had nothing to clarify in this question.

MY TOOL:

The tool I used to work this problem out was ‘Work Backwards’.

THE BIG QUESTION:

12×3/4=Answer

SUMMARY:

In this question, all I did was work backwards. I did this by using the inverse operations to work out the answer. So this was my equation: 12×3/4= Answer.

MY ANSWER:

My answer was 9
