Maths Mate Sheet 5 Question 23

I predict that this question is going to be about working out symbols and their value .So 2 fishes and 2 sticks equals 52.

The Big Question:What does 1 fish + 1 person + 3 sticks equal?

Well you would probably predict that the 2 sticks would equal one each and so that’s 2.So now there is 50 left over, and 2 fishes ,And 50 divided by 2 is 25!!!

The next one has 3 people and 1 fish ,now the number is 40 so 25 to 40 is 15 and 15 divided by 3 is 5. So now the big question is what does this fish, person and 3 sticks  equal???

One fish is 25 + the person which is 5,is 30,and three sticks which means the answer is 33!!!
